v3.21b14 VNAV issues

Post by John McClane »

Over the last betas I find that VNAV is no longer functioning as it has done previously. I have, over several different flights, noticed that;

1. During descent the speed is reduced to 240 knots at high altitude.
2. Deceleration points (decel) are no longer identified in the navigation display.
3. Varying altitude at different waypoints making descent not smooth/uneven
4. No DME info in PFD during approach

Anyone else seeing this?

Hi John

I believe a few others may also be seeing this. I have noticed the deceleration points no longer appear.

Posting your log and/or crash files to your post will help management decipher the issue.

Also in 3.21b16 the TOD point is placed too late, causing a missed crossing restriction

I suspect this one is a fairly unusual case.. to have an altitude constraint occurring before even commencing descent. But it would but great to see VNAV handling something like that though, and bring the TOD forward in order to meet the required height :)

As for the missing DECEL points, I hope we can get those back And working soon, it was so nice to see them working.

Landed at LGSK. VNAV speed commanded to 240 knots at 19.000 feet. No DECEL. Just a straight line in with no phase in which to reduce airspeed, resulting in excessive use of spoilers. This happens on almost every flight now.

I done this flight this week to JSI and it also commanded flaps up speed way above 10000ft also

Today I flew from LGSK to LGKR. This time VNAV speed commanded to 240 knots at 29.000 feet. No DECEL. A comment from the Prosim team would be appreciated.

Bump

@humberto, are you across this one. The issues seem pretty pretty consistent across multiple users. When I see the decel to 240 at high’ altitudes, there is no Derek point where the nose pitches up to help lose the speed.

Cheers
