Prosim737 and OC-FWD-OVHD panel with direct SIOC

Post by cloudbase »

Hi, I am new to SIOC and really need some help please to get OC forward overhead working.

I am running Prosim737 v3.13b5 in P3D5.2.22.27615
P3D is on a fixed IP 10.1.1.10

SIOC v7.03B2 is on a second computer with a fixed IP 10.1.1.11:8092 (firewall port open)
my OpenCockpit Forward OVHD is connected to the second computer by 3 USB cables

I have no other opencockpit/SIOC devices connected, only the FWD-OVHD

Prosim config is setup for SIOC direct 10.1.1.11:8092 and can see 3 devices.
Also in the prosim SIOC direct config advanced tab the load empty script is ticked and also the Overhead config page is FWD box enabled ticked with it identifying that USB expansion card 35 is accessable.

In SIOC v7.03B2 my devices are
IDX=1 IOCard-USBServos - Device=33
IDX=2 IOCard-USBServos - Device=37
IDX=5 USB-ExpansionV3 - Device=35

In the SIOC config devices it has
Device name=USB-Expancion v3, USB device number =35, Type =Master, Dev.IDX=5, #cards=4

Device name=IOcards-USBServos, USB device number =37, Type =Servos, Dev.IDX=2, #cards=1
Device name=IOcards-USBSer(A_, USB device number =37, Type =Analog, Dev.IDX=???, #cards=1

Device name=IOcards-USBServos, USB device number =33, Type =Servos, Dev.IDX=1, #cards=1
Device name=IOcards-USBSer(A_, USB device number =33, Type =Analog, Dev.IDX=???, #cards=1

I have clicked empty script in Sioc
when I click reload I always get a error due to failed compilation.

quote
Launch Compiler, file :
C:\Program Files (x86)\IOCards\SIOC\sioc.lst
Phase 1
.OK.

Phase 2
ERROR! - 0AIRTEMP_PACK_ -
Line: 274 Var 1105 NAME 0AIRTEMP_PACK_ STATIC // AIR TEMP: PACK L
%FAILED%
* COMPILATION ERROR*

unquote

My questions are...
Its hard to find a good tutorial for how to set up the OC overhead in SIOC direct.

I assume SIOC direct can be done over a networked computer, but I have found conflicting forum replies about this.

I do not know what script its trying to compile and fails on.

Any advice would be greatly welcomed.

Hi David

The script is failing at Line 274 because there is a zero in front of AIRTEMP

My script doesn't have this. It should read:

Var 1105, name AIRTEMP_PACK_L, static // Air temp: Pack L

Delete the zero, save and reload.

Regards.
Simulation will never give you airport delays or late passengers :D

Hi,

Regarding my OC FWD OVHD.

I now have most of my switches working with Prosim SIOC direct and I am now trying to get the servos working.

Prosim can see my USB expansion card and the 2 servo cards.

I think I have figured this out, servos need to be setup and calibrated in Prosim. example for cabin air temp overhead gauge you need to calibrate by moving the sliders in the prosim software combined config, so need to match 20c in prosim with servo gauge reading 20c.

If there is an easier way then any help is welcomed.

I am having trouble getting the OVHD, servo operated 'engine start' solenoid to click back from ground to off during the engine start.

Prosim does not see my servo cards when I config the pneumatic.gate.starter 1 pushback solenoid. It sees the servo card for other gauges but not for the solenoid starter click back.

Regards
David
