Hallo,
Ik heb een OEM Grimes Light op de kop getikt, maar nu moet ik hem nog zien te installeren (voeding, omvormer). Is er iemand die me daarbij zou kunnen en willen helpen? Heb niet zoveel verstand van electronica...

Hoi Koosch,
the Grimes floodlight does not need a pot.
Check the housing of the light: the red round end at its back turns the pot (inside) from zero (snapped in position) to full. The ring at the front changes the light from red to white.
It needs 28 V but works well with 24 V. However, if you prefer using it with 12 V, it is easy to change the bulb (the sockets are also used in cars). Fitting 12 V bulbs are easily available in each diy market.

Thanks for your answer. I guess the light needs 28 volts DC, so what is an easy way to feed this into the light? External battery, or other type of power supply? Again, I am quite a newbie in this field.

Ik ga alles eens rustig doorlezen, dank voor de links. Het ziet er naar uit dat het 28V DC wordt, 24V is ook goed, dus dat moet wel lukken.

Zou je mij precies willen uitleggen wat jij gebruikt als voeding voor je Grimes Lights; ik begrijp dat je de 'booster' gebruikt, klinkt handig. Maar welke voeding heb jij om die booster te voeden (24 of 12 V), is dat AC of DC, hoeveel Amps, en hoe heb je de (losse) draden van de Lights daarmee verbonden? Als je een gewone adapter neemt, krijg je een stekker, een snoer en een klein stekkertje; hoe verbind je die met de draden van de Lights, en hoe ziet dat er in de cockpit uit? Heb je daar foto's van?
