It should not happen under normal circumstances.
The first 2-3 versions of MSFS worked correctly only, if the sim was closed and reopened, after you changed the mode of the flight-model, but in recent versions I did not experience this.
If "crazy crashes" happen, it means you possibly made a piloting error, because MSFS employs an interesting and highly unrealistic and not really welcomed routine, which makes those immediate crashes when certain parameters suggest that there is an immediate stall. Then you are not able to recover.
Just make it certain that you are never close to any potential stall scenario.
